A world where everyone has a decent place to live.
To put love and respect into action by bringing people of all backgrounds together to build and repair homes and communities.
Coastal Habitat for Humanity, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, was founded in 1994 by ten local friends to help create a world in which everyone has a decent place to live. Coastal Habitat - with the tireless help of its dedicated volunteers - has constructed 17 homes, dedicated 18 homes, repaired more than 190 homes and positively impacted hundreds of lives in 18 Southern Monmouth County cities and towns.
Coastal Habitat was founded on the principal that every man, woman and child should have a simple, durable, safe place to live in dignity and that decent shelter should be a matter of conscience and action for all.
For more than two decades, Coastal Habitat has been committed to providing a "hand up" to its partner families and homeowners in Allenhurst, Asbury Park, Avon by the Sea, Belmar, Bradley Beach, Brielle, Deal, Interlaken, Lake Como, Loch Arbor, Manasquan, Neptune, Neptune Twp., Ocean Twp., Sea Girt, Spring Lake, Spring Lake Heights and Wall.
All Are Welcome
Coastal Habitat has an open-door policy: All who believe that everyone needs a decent, safe place to live are welcome to volunteer regardless of race, religion, age, gender, political views, sexual orientation or any of the other distinctions that too often divide people.
Coastal Habitat welcomes volunteers and supporters from all backgrounds and also serves people in need regardless of race or religion. As a matter of policy, the organization does not proselytize. This means that Coastal Habitat will not offer assistance on the expressed or implined condition that people must adhere to or convert to a particular faith, or listen and respond to messaging designed to induce conversion.
Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
