The owners of this house have donated it and its contents to us for the purpose of a sale. Everything here is included, unless otherwise marked. Everyone working the sale is a volunteer, and all proceeds will go into the Coastal Habitat building fund.

Ground Rules for the Sale:

An item is not sold until it is paid for. At that point, a colored Sold sticker is put on it. Please ignore any other indication that something is sold, such as the word “Sold” written on it or across the marked price.

The sale begins at the advertised time, not sooner. Buyers typically line up earlier, on a first come--first served basis. During the first 20 minutes of the sale, if two or more individuals want to buy the same item, the lower number in line is the buyer. After 20 minutes, the numbers are irrelevant, and if two or more individuals simultaneously want to buy the same item, an informal “auction” is held to determine the buyer.

We accept personal checks, with ID, as well as cash, but no credit cards.

All utilities, including gas, electric, and water, are shut off for safety purposes.

Everything is sold “As is.” To the best of our knowledge, items such as appliances are in working order (unless otherwise marked), but we cannot guarantee that.

Prices for most things are clearly marked. If you are interested in an item that is not priced, please speak to one of the volunteers about it.

All buyers are responsible to remove their purchases by the end of the day. Please ask a volunteer what time that will be on this particular day. Buyers need their own tools, flashlight, step stool, etc. (Insurance does not allow us to provide any of these things or to physically help with the removal of items.)

UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES IS ANYONE PERMITTED TO BE ON THE PREMISES AFTER THE SALE IS OVER. OUR RIGHT TO BE HERE ENDS WITH THE SALE, SO ANYONE WHO IS HERE IS TRESPASSING!

Occasionally an advertised sale is cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control.
In this case, a sign is posted on the house and an email notice is sent, and NOBODY SHOULD ENTER AND/OR REMOVE ITEMS FROM INSIDE OR OUTSIDE THE HOUSE! This would be considered trespassing and/or theft.
