CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS Help Coastal Habitat for Humanity continue to repair and rebuild Southern Monmouth County!
Home Preservation Projects
Join our team leaders on Wednesdays and Saturdays to assist homeowners with minor repairs to their homes. Many of our neighbors are elderly or handicapped and in need of some extra hands to make their home safe and livable. These projects are great for volunteers that may not be comfortable working on an active construction site. Some tasks may include landscaping, painting, or installing rails and grab bars.
Projects will take place Wednesday and Saturday each week through October. To volunteer, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator one week prior for project information.
This schedule will begin Saturday September 13th with work being done on a Neptune home. Approximately 15-20 volunteers are needed to paint the outside of the home, clean up the yard, and clean and repair gutters. Please contact us ASAP to sign up.
Home Construction
Coastal Habitat for Humanity continues to repair and rebuild homes in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. With multiple sites active each week, we are always in need of a few extra hands. Although it has been almost 2 years since the storm, there is still quite a bit of work to be done.
Volunteer days are Tuesday - Saturday, 8:30am - 3:30pm. Volunteers meet at our warehouse located at 910 Fourth Avenue in Asbury Park at 8:30. To schedule a time to volunteer, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at (732) 974-2422 x3 or info@coastalhabitat.org
What you need to know
No experience is necessary to volunteer with Coastal Habitat for Humanity. Our construction team is on hand to make sure all volunteers are educated and safely operating all tools.
Dress appropriately for the weather - hats, sunscreen, etc. All volunteers must wear sturdy, closed toe shoes - work boots are preferred.
Lunch will not be provided. Volunteers can bring their own or make arrangements for lunch ahead of time. Most of our sites have nearby locations for pizza, sandwiches, etc.
Team Building!
Gathering your coworkers to volunteer on a Coastal Habitat project is a great team building opportunity! For more information or to schedule a team build, contact us at (732) 974-2422 x3 or info@coastalhabitat.org.
