DONATE

The success of the Coastal Habitat ReStore depends on the generosity of many individuals and businesses to donate quality merchandise. We are grateful that many share our vision to eliminate substandard housing at the Jersey Shore and support us with their resalable contributions. We welcome all offers of new or very gently-used items, but reserve the right to refuse unsuitable donations. Please contact us to see if your donation falls within our guidelines and meets our current needs. If we are unable to accept your items at this time, we have supplied contact information of other non-profit organizations at the bottom of this page.

When considering your tax deductible donation, please remember that all items will be sold to the general public. We ask that merchandise be in excellent condition, be 100% operable and be thoroughly cleaned. Items that are broken, scratched or in need of repair cannot be accepted, as we do not have resources available to refurbish these items. We appreciate your compliance with our updated guidelines. Click here to see a list of merchandise we are currently accepting or what items we cannot accept at this time.

Free pick up service for your pre-approved items.  Please call us at (732) 988-7044 to discuss your donation with one of our volunteer schedulers.

Tax deductible receipts are available.  Whether you drop off your donation or we pick it up, you can ask for a tax deduction form for your records. We do not assign any dollar value to your items. However, you can get information on donation values at the IRS website. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p561.pdf

All donations must be approved.  Items brought to the ReStore will be examined by our staff. We ask that you allow time in your schedule and plan accordingly for this inspection. We appreciate your patience and hope you understand that under no circumstances, can items be left outside our facility. It is considered "dumping". Our surveillance cameras assist us in notifying authorities to track and fine all violators. Please do not treat the ReStore as a dumping site.

ReStore wish list.  We appreciate your help with a donation of any item on our updated wish list These are things that the ReStore needs to operate.
